Academie Frontenac Offers A Fitness For Fighters at Any Skill Level

 

AcadémieFrontenac.com offers several classes in a handful of martial arts disciplines for people at all skill and experience levels.  The program provides training and practice opportunities in disciplines including:

There are also specialized courses and even basic fitness and martial arts courses to encourage those looking to improve their health or are really interested in self-defense training.

BASIC TRAINING

First of all, Academie Frontenac offers a basic sport training program designed to introduce beginners to the various techniques of boxing and martial arts. This includes simple punches and kicks like the hook, uppercut, front kick, etc.

Furthermore, the basic course also introduces beginners to basic exercises to increase strength and stamina and to help tone the better to be better suited for more specific training.  There are even free course try outs to see which ones you like the best.

SPECIALIZED COURSESfitfight 1

After completing the basic training courses (or for those who are already more advanced), specialized courses are also available at two levels.

  • Level 1: for beginner and intermediate fighters looking to improve basic skills. This course is best for people just looking to improve basic techniques, movement, defense, and hand/foot positioning
  • Level 2: This involves one-on-two course sparring focused more on skill mastery. This is best for those who have more experience and are looking to sharpen their existing skills and techniques and even develop combat strategies

PRIVATE COURSES

Academie Frontenac also offers private courses for those looking for intimate, one-on-one training:

TABATA

Named after a Japanese researcher, Toabata is a type of circuit training which uses both aerobic and anaerobic techniques simultaneously to build strength, speed, endurance, recovery. This can include not only disciplines like Muay Thai or Jiu-Jitsu, bit also exercises like stationary bike and speed skating.

A typical Tabata workout typically includes doing as many reps of a particular exercise for 20 seconds, then a brief rest, then repeating the exercise for 10 seconds; for a total of 8 repetitions in about 4 minutes.

WORKOUT

The institution can also simply provide the facilities necessary for individual workouts.  Whether you want to master a particular discipline or are just looking to improve another aspect of fitness, the gym has several ways to accommodate athletes.
