The popularity of electronic cigarettes or ‘e-cigs’ as they are more colloquially known as, have risen in popularity over the past few years as more people are deciding to take the plunge and give up tobacco.

Even though for almost a decade now, horrifying images of diseased lungs have been plastered all over the packaging of cigarettes, still the addiction wins over the desire for health and people continue to puff on the tobacco filled cylinders although many wish they didn’t.

Everyone knows that smoking is an expensive habit which drains money like nothing else. They are purposefully taxed incredibly highly to put people off buying them. E-cigarettes on the other hand do not have this tax (especially when bought on prescription). You can also purchase reusable ones which you can use again and again using e-liquid which you can buy relatively cheaply.

The popularity of e-cigarettes amongst smokers is climbing with the realisation of just how effective and how much of a healthier option they are compared to normal cigarettes. They can be purchased online or in shops around the country as well as now on the NHS.
